Position Description:

The Upper School Administrative Assistant (USAA) is central to the effective operation of the division, supporting the administrative needs of programs and providing clerical support to the administrative team. Key responsibilities include managing daily attendance and maintaining communication with administrators about student attendance, coordinating substitutes for faculty, and preparing division-specific documents, such as handbooks, directories, and calendars. The USAA also plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of Upper School events, such as Back-to-School Night, parent-teacher conferences, and Commencement.

We seek a joyful, resourceful, and adaptive individual who can manage administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and warmly engage with all members of the SPA community and guests. Successful candidates will enjoy collaborating with colleagues and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations is required. Candidates must have a genuine appreciation for young people and a desire to work within a diverse community and across cultural differences. First aid training is desired, and knowledge of Veracross, rSchoolToday, and Frontline Education is preferred.
